Funky Hawaiian-themed diner serving burgers & hot dogs, plus sandwiches & a few island dishes.
Bread Crumb is one of our main go-to’s when we come down for a visit. My husband introduced me to this gem of a place back in the early 2000’s since before they opened their Beach Blvd location.
Bread Crumb Ohana Cafe is a family owned and operated restaurant located in the corner of a plaza off of Beach. We moved our family up to Northern California 12 years ago, but make it a point to have breakfast here at least once when in soCal to visit our families.
Service is always warm and friendly and they’re always, always accommodating when we come in with our own giant family and extended family.
This last time, we hit up Disneyland the day before and couldn’t drag our kids out with us so early in the morning- so they stayed with my in-laws and we took the baby and headed to Bread Crumb. I’m not gonna lie, I was excited as it takes a lot of effort and planning to get everyone out the door.
I got the half order of the breakfast burrito which includes: scrambled eggs, tomato, cheese, onions, your choice of bacon, ham or sausage and comes with hash browns and refried beans topped with shredded cheddar.
The burrito came out piping hot which is always a plus and was delicious as it usually is. ($8.99)My husband ordered the Chorizo scramble: eggs scrambled with chorizo and Ortega chilies served with hash browns and flour tortillas. This was a first for him here, and he loved it. ($11.29)
We ordered the Hawaiian French toast off the kid’s menu for the baby, it came with a slice of bacon. Can’t recall how much the kid’s meal was I think it was ($5.99) Anyhow, the baby loved the French toast and we helped her finished up what she couldn’t. Lol
We both forgot to ask for crispy hash browns but luckily they came out pretty crispy anyway.
Bread Crumb Ohana is truly a little gem of a place and one our family will continue to frequent when we come out to visit. Mahalo nui loa!

We went to this place after taking our dog to the beach. We did not know this place allow dog, so we took it to go and eat outside.
We ordered the loco moco and Hawaiian French toast. The loco moco is exceptionally good and the french toast is tasty. Note to self, I will get the coconut syrup next time.

Yum! The wait on a Sunday was a bit long, but our breakfast was worth it. Huge portion sizes. Hawaii French toast, hash browns, burger and fries all 5stars

Any place that can stay in business for only breakfast and lunch is a guarantee winner. Bread Crumb Ohana Cafe is no exception.
Food:
1) Hawaiian Bread French Toast was so delicious! The bread was so soft and fluffy. I’ve never seen Hawaiian bread that humongous. You can order this as part of the Ohana special which also comes with egg and portuguese sausage.
2) Loco Moco – Excellent! I loved the gravy, I just wish there was more. I thought the hamburger patty was a bit dry though. The loco moco tasted much better with spam or Portuguese sausage.Service:
Expect a wait at the regular dining times because it’s a popular breakfast/brunch/lunch spot. The wait staff were pretty friendly, attentive, and efficient.Parking:
Huge free, shared lot.

Ok…. a friend introduced me to this spot in Huntington Beach.
I ordered what he recommended. Been here a second time since and ordered the same thing.
….. THE HAWAIIAN BREAD FRENCH TOAST PLATE!!!!! It’s a MUST if you come here for breakfast. Literally THE BEST French toast I’ve ever had.
I’ll keep coming back for more. The wait during prime time breakfast hours can get long so be prepared to wait as it’s a popular spot.
They have other breakfast items but the French toast is where it’s at. Close proximity to the beach (10 minute drive) Don’t hesitate to check this place out! The staff is super friendly as well!!!

Came here for brunch this past weekend since I was hangry and in need of a good pick me up.
Unaware of how popular Ohana is, I wouldn’t recommend coming here hangry because there is generally a wait.
Reservations/Wait: They don’t take reservations, so you basically have to arrive early, otherwise you’d have to wait for a minimum of 45 minutes. I came with a group of 4 and it took us some time to get seated.
Café: Definitely very small with limited seating, which explains the long wait time. They do have outdoor and indoor seating, but luckily we were seated indoors. You can also pick where you’d like to be seated at when you sign up!
Menu: They’re known for their Hawaiian French Toast here, so you shouldn’t skip out on that if you decide to brunch here. You can order that on it’s own or have it with their Ohana Special, which also comes with 2 eggs, 2 bacon or sausage, and hash browns. It’s definitely the pricier combo on the menu, about $14, but great to share with a friend! Which is what I ended up doing with my roommate.
More on the OHANA SPECIAL: I really enjoyed the sausage it comes with because it isn’t your standard sausage link. As for the French Toast, you do pay a little extra for add-ons such as berries and syrups, but I ended up just getting it with strawberries. The toast is HUGE and perfect for sharing. I barely made a dent through it since it’s really thick and extremely filling.
Overall experience here was okay for the most part. I was very happy that our food came out rather quick for how busy the café was for a Sunday morning. However, the service wasn’t the best, we had to flag down our server multiple times, and they even forgot to bring our checks back at some point so we had to remind them. Nonetheless, I would probably come back here on a weekday to avoid the wait!

I’m not usually a morning person but if i know I’m gonna be waking up to a good meal, then that’s always an exception! haha. My cousin and I came in on a Wednesday afternoon and were able to get seated right away.

I ordered the Islander which was definitely super big & filling that I was only able to eat half. As a vegetarian, this was such a perfectly filling and also delicious choice. It came with the best of the best: a stuffed omelette with fresh veggies scrambled inside and melted cheese on top, perfectly crisped hash browns, avocado (yaaas), and a side of toast! My cousin and I also shared an order of 2 pancakes which were also huge portions and perfect to share per person. I was so impressed by how our food came out in like probably less than 15 mins considering how long brunch places usually take to bring out the food. Our food was fresh, hot, and definitely did not disappoint!|| SERVICE ||
The service here was exceptionally friendly!! Our servers kept coming by continuously to offer more water, additional assistance, etc. All of them were so generous and had such a welcoming demeanor which, in my opinion/experience, stands out a lot from other brunch spots since sometimes the busy rush hours can make the servers limited in assisting as they become too busy to continually check on the seated customers. All in all, such a satisfying and tasty place for brunch!! I left the place super stuffed and pleased with the experience. The price was average to other brunch spots (around ~$10 a plate) but the portions, service, and speed from this particular place really makes it stand out from other brunch spots! I’ll definitely be coming back again! 🙂

Delicious food, great service, reasonable price
My kids both had half sandwiches. My hubby had a tuna melt which he would give 10 stars if he could. I had the ohana burger. Only complaint is not enough avocado.

Live around the corner from this place and wow am I surprised and disappointed in myself for not finding this place sooner. Everything on the menu looks and sound great but I am a huge Loco Moco fanboy and any Hawaiian restaurant I go to I need to try it out. Not was I not disappointed in this but it was FANTASTIC! The gravy was excellent and I love how they give you different options than the regular hamburger patties. This place is a must try in my books! Worth the wait!

French toast hash browns with country gravy and avacado and bacon is what I ordered the food was delicious the French toast I’d have to say was better than kings Hawaiian Bakery Restaurant in Torrance which I was surprised by the service is great can’t wait to visit again!
